Specialising in Quality Classic Minis and Mini Variants

The following pictures give a brief guide to the extensive restoration process we take to produce
our high quality Mini Woody

The Countryman Sport shown was produced for a couple here in England that wanted the classic charm of a Mini, the performance and comfort of a modern car and the practicalities of an estate to carry a child and dog

We built this one to our 'standard' specifications in Island Blue with 12" alloys with several options:-

Navy leather interior, 1380cc mild tune engine with long final drive gearbox and stage 1 kit,

electric one-touch canvas sunroof, servo, walnut dashboard with 6 clocks in magnolia, spotlamps

.

First the bodyshell is completely stripped, the front end and rear valance removed, shotblasted to remove paint and rust inside and out

.

Then any panels that have had rust are cut out and replaced with new panels. We ensure that no welds or repairs are visible

the 'shell better than when it came out the factory!

.

After all other repairs, a complete new front end is carefully aligned and fitted, then seam sealed to keep out moisture

.

Having been fully prepared and the underside stonechip protected, the 'shell is moved into the paintshop where it is etch primed

The underside, engine bay and interior is rubbed down and painted separately with several coats

These areas are then masked and the external areas prepared after allowing the primer time to settle

.

The fully painted bodyshell is then buffed to give a glass like finish

.

.

Front and rear subframes are both shotblast, zinc primed and powdercoated gloss black before re-assembly with new components and plated parts

.

The build commences with the body being dropped onto the subframes and the engine inserted plus new wiring loom

This is a new 1380cc lightened and balanced engine with a mild hi-torque cam and reconditioned gearbox built for cruising

Note the obsessive attention to detail that we put into our builds

.

The underside is just as good!!

.

The ash frames are stained with a light tan and 4 coats of highest quality yacht varnish applied to both sides before fitting with water-repellent caulking to ensure your woody stays looking superb for many years

.

The interior is gradually built up with all new high quality trim, seats and carpet

The final product - M-tech Countryman Sport.

To drive it is to love it!!.

We believe no others produce a Woody to this high a standard
